Summer recap

This Summer whizzed by so fast! In July we drove to Northern California to see Daves Family. We took our annual vacation and stayed in Tahoe at an amazing resort (Thanks Nana!!) We had so much fun on the lake and especially taking all of the family to our secret spot! Lake Tahoe is one of my favorite places to relax!
Next we drove down to Disneyland and met up with my Family! Why am I not posting pictures? The majority of our vacation was on our camcorder and the rest is on my moms camera. Hopefully pictures coming soon. We started in the morning and stayed until the parks closed. Evalyn was in pure Heaven!
After our feet hurt so bad we couldnt walk anymore we headed to my parents and spent a few days at the beach.  I love summer vacations. We had so much fun soaking up the sun. Then it was back to Utah. On the way we stayed in St George for a little more pool time.

In August we had the pleasure of having Jared stay with us a few days before we drove him to the MTC.

Dropping of a Missionary is bitter sweet. We are so proud of you Jared!

Later  in August Evalyn started her ballet classes. She loves her teacher and loves wearing her ballet outfit. We figured since she dances from dawn to dusk we better put her in a class. Its the best thing we could have done and I love watching. She has seriously learned so much.

As for Siena. She watched Evie dance and as soon as Evalyn is finished they run to eachother and hug. It happens every week and every week it makes my heart melt. These girls are so much fun. Now if they would just stop growing up!

May 2011

In May we had Nana come and visit which is always so much fun. The girls love thier Nana! We always do a little shopping and Evalyn scored these pretty pink shoes from Nana. She would have slept in them if I let her!

We took a trip to the Zoo, and hit up Thanksgiving point to see the tulip festival (Nana's favorite!) Or wait I cant remember if we went for the flowers or the famous Toffe!
Oh and we took a pony ride in a parking lot because we are random like that. The girl leading the ponys walked/ran so fast Nana couldn't keep up so we had to bag it after about 20 seconds. At least we got a picture!

Later in May Evalyn, Siena and I took a much needed vaycay in San Diego to visit my parents. I am so glad we did.
We visited the aquarium... notice in the picture below Evalyn would not go into the sharks mouth for anything. I hope she doesn't end up with a huge fear of sharks like I did.
I would be lying if I said I wasn't uncomfortable in there as well. Embarassing I know but I was scarred as a child!
We spent plenty of time at the beach. I love listening to the waves crash on the shore. And it is so beautiful there.

Evalyn had some quality time with Jared which was great since the countdown to his mission was begining.

When we arrived back home Evalyn found Daves wig from Halloween last year. I had to snap a few pictures because I was cracking up.

Easter 2011

We started off our Easter vacation to California by visiting Daves Sister Shauna and her family. They own a horse and took us to the stables. While we were there the girls were able to ride one of the not so little ponys and Evalyn loved every second of it. Especially when she was able to groom the pony after riding. She told me brushing the tail was like brushing Repunzles hair.

We colored eggs at Auntie Carie's house with Jayden and Mckay for the second year in a row and loved it.

Easter day was spent at Auntie Kristins. We enjoyed the beautiful weather and the newborn lambs.

Here is Kristin going to check on one of the sheep about to deliver Easter babies. (well almost..it happened a day after)

The girls had so much fun this year and we loved every minute with our family!

March 2011

In March Dave gave me a surprise birthday in Vegas. He had me thinking we were driving my brother down to St George as a favor and going to stay the night. Once we arrived in St George we kept driving...huh? We arrived in Las Vegas and he took us (my brother, Evie, Siena and I) up to a great room that was more like a condo. Then the adjoing room started knocking on our door. I figured we made the guests angy for being loud. But Dave opened the door and there was the rest of my family! I did not expect that. We had so much fun splashing around Tahiti Villiage. There was a lazy river, and volley ball in the water so I was set.

Evalyn's 3rd Birthday!

Evalyns 3rd Birthday!
We have to include this on the blog because its our journal and Evie still talks about her "blue birthday". I had so much fun planning this for her. We put blue celephane on all the windows so you felt like you were underwater. The kids loved it!
Dad made the fishing poles and the octapus poster for pictures. We had clam cookies, seaweed punch and of course cake! The only problem...I have to come up with something just as fun next year :)
